Location: Columbia, South Carolina & Surrounding Areas within the Richland One School Disctrict
Full-Time | $14.49/hour

What You’ll Do:
As a Custodial Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment through routine cleaning, sanitizing, and general upkeep. This role requires someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable performing physical tasks throughout the workday.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and maintain floors
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Clean and sanitize surfaces
- Restock supplies such as paper products and soap
- Clean windows, walls, and other areas as needed
- Set up rooms, tables, and chairs for events
- Perform general upkeep and light maintenance tasks
- Assist with moving furniture and equipment when needed
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor machines, and other tools
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or industrial cleaning experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing physical tasks
- Ability to communicate professionally with supervisors and team members
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to perform physical duties, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items as needed
- Previous cleaning or maintenance experience preferred
