Traveler ICU RN – 13-Week Travel Assignment

Location: Des Moines, IA
Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Assignment: 13 Weeks / 3 Months
Schedule: 3 × 12-Hour Shifts
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Experience Required: 2+ Years of ICU/RN Experience

Position Overview

Rigel Networks is currently seeking an experienced Traveler ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Des Moines, Iowa.

The ideal candidate will have strong critical-care nursing experience and the ability to provide high-quality care to acutely and critically ill patients in an Intensive Care Unit setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to acutely and critically ill patients within the assigned ICU unit.
  • Assess patient conditions and implement appropriate nursing interventions based on established care plans.
  • Implement and monitor medical and nursing care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered and monitor patients for changes in condition.
  • Direct and supervise patient care provided by nursing personnel assigned to the unit.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
  • Prioritize patient care and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain standard unit activities and assume appropriate responsibilities in the absence of the Head Nurse.
  • Follow hospital policies, procedures, safety standards, and infection-control practices.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical-care nursing experience required.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-acuity environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the healthcare team.
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
