Job Overview:

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the planning, design, permitting, and execution of land development projects. This position will work closely with Project Managers, clients, consultants, contractors, and local, county, and state agencies to ensure projects are designed and delivered efficiently, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations.


The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering background with experience in land development, site design, permitting, and engineering plan preparation/review.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review civil engineering plans and construction documents for land development projects.
  • Support site development design, grading, drainage, utilities, and related civil engineering work.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, coordination, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with local, county, and state agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform engineering calculations and technical analyses as required.
  • Coordinate with clients, Project Managers, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Identify and resolve design and project-related issues.
  • Monitor project progress, schedules, and deliverables to support timely completion.
  • Participate in project meetings, site visits, and stakeholder coordination as needed.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience with land development and civil site design preferred.
  • Experience with permitting and governmental agency coordination is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar civil engineering design software.
  • Understanding of civil engineering principles, codes, standards, and land development processes.
  • Strong project planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • PE license or progress toward PE licensure is a plus.
