About the Position
Global Electronic Services is seeking an experienced Bench Technician to join our Euless, TX facility. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and documenting industrial electronic equipment to ensure each unit meets our quality and performance standards.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience repairing industrial electronics, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to diagnose equipment down to the component level. Experience with soldering, electronic test equipment, and reading schematics is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial electronic equipment to the component level.
- Repair equipment such as AC/DC drives, PLCs, HMIs/touchscreens, monitors, power supplies, chart recorders, temperature controllers, counters, and other industrial electronic equipment.
- Perform complete functional testing on repaired equipment to verify proper operation.
- Run equipment under load when applicable to ensure repairs meet required performance standards.
- Diagnose component-level failures using schematics, technical documentation, and electronic test equipment.
- Use oscilloscopes, multi-meters, function generators, and other diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and verify repairs.
- Perform precision soldering and component replacement.
- Research and order necessary components and parts.
- Accurately document repairs, testing, parts used, and work performed on each work order.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Meet quality and productivity standards in a fast-paced repair environment.
Knowledge & Skills
- Previous experience repairing industrial electronic equipment.
- Strong component-level troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/electronic schematics.
- Strong soldering and de-soldering skills.
- Experience using electronic test equipment, including multi-meters and oscilloscopes.
- Computer proficiency and ability to document work electronically.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple repairs.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Work Schedule
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- 10:00–10:15 AM – Paid Break
- 12:00–1:00 PM – Unpaid Lunch
- 3:00–3:15 PM – Paid Break
