Mold Technician - 2nd shift

Description

Responsible for press set up and maintenance of injection processes to meet standard cycle times and quality requirements.

Job Duties:

• Install dies on machine according to work instructions
• Assist in modification of existing procedures
• Responsible for molding machine set up including ancillary equipment as related to the molding process
• Perform mold changes
• Operate forklift
• Use a crane hoist to perform mold changes and maintenance of molding machines
• Process molding parameters to achieve quality parts and optimize cycle times
• Use troubleshooting skills to develop and improve repeatable molding processes
• Respond to machine alarms in a timely manner
• Responsible for proper handling and care of all materials, molds, and tooling
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Must be able to read and follow standard work Instructions
• Must be able to follow all Environmental and Safety Rules
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required
• Prior experience in injection molding is preferred
• Ability and desire to learn.

Physical requirements

• Good hand/eye dexterity and ability to cross-train
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail
• Perform repetitive motion activities
• Ability to visually inspect products to quality speculation
• Ability to read, interpret and follow written work instructions
