NUTRITION ONE · NOW HIRING

Logistics Manager — School Meal Delivery (Phoenix, AZ)

Nutrition One is fighting food insecurity, one meal at a time — delivering over 4 million nutritious meals a year to 70+ schools across Arizona. We're hiring a hands-on leader to run our Phoenix meal-delivery operation.

35–40 people

ANNUAL PAY

$58K–$68K

SCHEDULE

Full-Time, M–F (Nights & Weekends off!)

LOCATION

2508 N 33rd Ave, Phoenix, AZ

This is a real people-management role. You'll directly supervise 35–40 drivers and servers every day — hiring, coaching, scheduling, and holding a large frontline team accountable. If you've led a team at this scale before, we want to talk to you.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the team: Supervise, coach, and develop 35–40 drivers and servers across multiple shifts and delivery routes — building schedules, running onboarding, managing attendance and performance, and holding your team accountable consistently and fairly.
  • Own the routes: Build and adjust delivery routes around school bell schedules and meal counts, run pre-departure audits, and keep the fleet ready to go every morning.
  • Keep it compliant: Ensure your team follows USDA child nutrition program requirements (NSLP, CACFP, SFSP), maintain accurate temperature logs and delivery records, and keep every driver's certifications current.
  • Build and develop your team: Handle hiring, onboarding, training, and performance reviews for your drivers and servers, and make sure every pre-departure audit and compliance check gets done right, every day.

What You'll Need

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience leading a frontline, hourly team — in delivery operations, food service, or a related field.
  • A real track record of hiring, scheduling, coaching, and holding a team accountable, not just working alongside one.
  • A valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • A valid Food Handler's Card (or the ability to obtain one within 5 days of hire).
  • A Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety, required for school-site access (or the ability to apply within 5 days of hire).
  • Solid working proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Schedule & Compensation

Full-time, salaried/exempt, 40+ hours per week, Monday through Friday, with hours aligned to the school-day meal service window (an early start is part of the job). Pay range: $58,000–$68,000 annually, based on experience.

The Physical Side of the Job

This role is active, not deskbound: expect to be on your feet moving through the kitchen, garage, warehouse, and school sites, regularly lifting up to 50 lbs and moving loaded carts up to 100 lbs, and working in coolers, freezers, and outdoor loading areas.
