Journeymen field mechanic

We are looking for a skilled Journeymen Field Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will independently perform a wide range of vehicle repairs with a focus on diesel engines and heavy equipment. You will travel to various field locations, utilizing both advanced diagnostic software and standard tools to ensure quality and safety in all repairs.

Responsibilities

• Repair automobiles, trucks, buses, and heavy-duty equipment
• Perform preventive and routine diesel vehicle maintenance
• Use advanced diagnostic tools and software to test vehicle components
• Conduct thorough quality inspections before returning vehicles to customers
• Ensure all repairs comply with safety standards and documentation requirements
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues efficiently
• Work independently and manage time effectively during field travel assignments

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in vehicle diagnostics and repair
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Proficient use of diagnostic tools and software
• Attention to detail with strong quality inspection capabilities
• Excellent time management and adaptability skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, travel-heavy environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in automotive mechanics
• High school diploma or equivalent
