About the Role:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality nursing care to patients within various healthcare settings across the United States. This position focuses on providing direct patient care, including wound management, pain control, and assisting with daily living activities, ensuring patients' comfort and safety. The LPN will collaborate closely with Nurse Practitioners and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans and educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention. Effective communication in English is essential to accurately document patient information and provide clear instructions. Ultimately, the LPN contributes to improving patient outcomes by performing clinical tasks with precision and compassion while adhering to regulatory standards and facility protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid and current Nursing License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the United States.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure clear communication and documentation.
• Demonstrated experience in wound care and patient care within a clinical or assisted living environment.
• Ability to perform venipuncture and other basic nursing procedures safely.
• Strong understanding of pain management principles and patient comfort techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in an assisted living facility or similar long-term care setting.
• Previous collaboration experience with Nurse Practitioners or advanced practice nurses.
• Additional certifications related to wound care or pain management.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Continuing education in patient education methodologies or nursing best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Administer wound care treatments and monitor healing progress according to established protocols.
• Provide patient education on medication management, wound care, and lifestyle modifications to promote recovery and prevent complications.
• Perform venipuncture and other basic clinical procedures safely and efficiently.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living in assisted living facility settings, ensuring dignity and respect.
• Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and interdisciplinary teams to update care plans and report changes in patient conditions.
• Document all nursing care and patient interactions accurately in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Manage pain effectively through assessment, administration of prescribed treatments, and patient support.
