Position Summary:

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role performs preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance while supporting equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining facility infrastructure. The position requires the ability to interpret technical documentation, utilize diagnostic tools, and perform repairs across mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance disciplines. A strong commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement is essential for success in this role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting abilities of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives, gearboxes, and automated systems.
  • Ability to safely troubleshoot 110v/220v/480v 3-phase power, read electrical schematics, and perform basic diagnostics on PLC controlled machinery.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools (multimeters, calipers) and experience maintaining heavy industrial machinery (fabrication equipment, CNC/laser machinery, industrial saws).
  • Proficient in MIG/TIG welding to repair or modify machinery and shop fixtures.
  • Perform emergency, corrective, and preventive maintenance on industrial manufacturing and fabrication equipment to maximize uptime.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and parts utilized in the maintenance work order system.
  • Maintain company vehicles through routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Operate ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts safely and efficiently to perform maintenance, installation, and repair tasks at various heights.
  • Comply with all safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout and OSHA standards.
  • Regularly maintain and operate skid steers and forklifts.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, flooring, and carpentry issues.
  • Assist with snow removal using snow plows, shovels and other equipment to maintain safe and accessible grounds.
  • Inspect facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance work orders and emergencies.
  • All other projects and tasks as assigned.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree, certifications, or journeyman card is a strong plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting 3-phase electrical systems and industrial machinery.
  • Proficient in welding (MIG/TIG)
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
  • Good communication and time management skills


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Work safely in dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Stand, bend, climb, and work on feet for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work outdoors and indoors in varying temperatures.


Evaluation:

  • The performance will be evaluated annually by the assigned supervisor.


Terms of Employment:

  • FSLA Status: Non-exempt
  • This is an in person,12-month, Monday-Friday position with Saturdays as needed.
  • There may be requirements to work overtime, including evenings or weekends to meet the needs of production. Flexibility is essential to ensure the efficient operation of the company.


Compensation:

  • Salary range: $28 - $32
