Job Description
Contract role for 12-months - could run longer per Clients needs
Test Engineering Technician to join a leading Company located in the Palm Bay, FL surrounding area.
**US Citizenship is required.**
**Candidate must possess an Active Secret Security Clearance. This must be verified via DISS prior to submittal**
Pay: $34/hr
Schedule: 1st shift - 9/80 schedule: 6:00AM – 3:45PM Mon-Thursday; 8 hours on Friday
Must haves:
- Cable and harness installation, routing and cable management, cable mate/demate experience
- Mechanical assembly and test of hardware including ESD sensitive hardware
- Hardware integration
- Rigging/overhead crane,
- Preparation for and conducting system level hardware testing (deployments, environments testing, etc.).
- Performing system level alignments to meet system requirements
- Field support for launch vehicle integration only during a one week timeframe at the end of the year.
- Move equipment weighing 45 pounds or less from one place to another-anthing over this is a two person lift
- Occasional repetitive movements during specified durations.
- Manual dexterity, motor skills and situational awareness to handle and manufacture space hardware.
- Cable routing and wire harness
- Basic computer skills
Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. May work with complex machines or computer systems. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support of Space Vehicle satellite manufacturing
- Individual contributor responsibilities with limited supervision.
- Following engineering drawings and defined manufacturing processes.
- Navigating and working to paperless work instructions (MES).
- Lead complex tasks when needed. Contribute to pre task briefings.
- Flexibility to work overtime/nights/weekends and alternate shifts.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior engineering technician experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills.
