Job Description:
General
- Generate and revise tooling process manuals
- Coordinate tool crib personnel daily activities
- Assist personnel with tool questions
- Assist assembly with tool usage
- Research and determine approve tooling for new programs
- Create purchase requisitions
Maintain and control tools/equipment
- Track tool locations
- Maintain assemblers' tool kits
- Research and recommend calibration verifications and maintenance requirements for new tools
- Follow manufacturers' calibration requirements / procedures for tools
- Follow manufacturers' preventative maintenance procedures for new tools
- Perform monthly tool and equipment calibration and maintenance verifications
- Perform minor tool and equipment repairs
- Coordinate with the Planning Manager new or replacement tools as needed
- Serve as a liaison between production, engineering, and planning departments for tool repair and maintenance
- Plan ahead prior to sending the calibration verifications equipment off site for calibrations
Maintain Mylars and Harness Assembly Drawings
- Maintain locations for Harness Assembly Drawings
- Coordinate the manufacture and installation of jigs on Harness Assembly Drawing boards.
- Plot and verify Harness Assembly Drawings are plotted to scale
Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years tool crib or other experience working with tools
- Aerospace industry experience helpful
- Experience working in conformance with a quality system
- Strong technical background
- Strong analytical background
- Above average problem solving skills
- Experience working with tools
- Effective computer skills
- Ability to adapt and work alone with little supervision/self-starter
- Highly organized
- Team work orientated
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Average knowledge in MS Word, Excel
