Bakery, located in Anaheim, CA, is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Prep team member to help keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. As a Dishwasher/Prep, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our bakery. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Washing all bakery dishes, including pots, pans, sheet trays, and large mixing bowls, either by hand or using a dishwashing machine.
- Sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning floor drains, and maintaining clean trash receptacles.
- Taking out trash and recycling, breaking down boxes, and hosing off floor mats.
- Cleaning and dusting walls, baseboards, and other areas of the shop.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of both the dry and dirty dish areas.
- Following health department guidelines for proper dishwashing and sanitation.
- Assisting with light food prep tasks, depending on experience.
- Helping receive and put away orders.
- Closing down the dish area at the end of the day using provided checklists.
We’re seeking candidates who bring professionalism and a strong work ethic to the table. Here’s what you’ll need to succeed in this role:
- Physical stamina: Ability to stand for an entire 8-hour shift (with breaks) and lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
- Attention to safety: Comfortable working with chemicals and detergents, and following safety best practices.
- ServSafe/Food Handler Card: Required certification to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Team player: Ready to work diligently, communicate effectively, and maintain professionalism in all interactions with coworkers, supervisors, and guests.
- Be punctual and ready to work when your shift begins.
- Follow all company policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area and treat all equipment with care.
- Adhere to training, best practices, and health department guidelines.
- Take breaks as required by law and ask for assistance when needed.
- Hourly Rate: $20/hr
- Job Type: Part-time
- Work Location: In person at our Anaheim, CA bakery.
