JOB DESCRIPTION: LOAN PROCESSOR I DEPARTMENT: Loan CLASSIFICATION: Non - ExemptREPORTS TO: Loan Operations Manager SUPERVISES: No supervisory responsibilityJOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the processing and administration of loans in one or more of the following areas: consumer, mortgage, and commercial loans. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILIIES:Responsible for input and audit of consumer, mortgage, and commercial loans. Provides administrative assistance to the lenders and staff, including processing loan payments, inputting and updating loan data in the system, and maintaining loan records and files (paper and electronic).Assembles and verifies accuracy of loan documentation. Ensures that loan files contain documents and with proper signature, dates and other relevant data. Performs clerical duties as related to working ticklers and maintaining departmental records. Answers customer questions and resolves routine problems with inquires regarding payoffs, changes of owner, note modifications, beneficiaries, and other loan details.Balances Assigned General LedgersProcesses Escrow which may include Home-Owner's Insurance, PMI, Property Taxes, and Home Owner's Association DuesWorks through Escrow AnalysisProvides input on QM procedures, updates as directed by loan operations manager.Actively achieves individual sales, referral, operational, and community involvement goals. Scans and Images documentation within DirectorPerforms other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalent. Three to five years of experience in a financial institution, lending setting, or office environment.Good understanding of financial institution products and services.Good organizational skills with attention to detail.Fluency in computer applications and Microsoft Office Environment.
