We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our clients' growing team. This full-time position plays a critical role in managing client relationships and delivering exceptional service to their small group benefits clients. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for a designated book of business, managing all aspects of employee benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Ancillary Benefits programs.
As an Employee Benefits Account Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and servicing of client accounts, ensuring seamless benefits management from initial enrollment through renewal and ongoing maintenance. This role requires a customer-service focused professional who can balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Serve as the primary account manager for an assigned book of small group clients, building and maintaining strong relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service delivery
- Act as the main point of contact for all client inquiries, concerns, and requests related to employee benefits programs
- Provide timely and accurate responses to client questions regarding plan features, coverage details, eligibility requirements, and claims issues
- Conduct regular check-ins with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities to enhance their benefits programs
- Collaborate with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and vendors to resolve client issues and ensure smooth plan operations
- Process all employee enrollment changes including new hires, terminations, qualifying life events, and status changes with accuracy and within required timeframes
- Manage ongoing benefits administration tasks including additions, deletions, and modifications to employee coverage
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation in benefits administration systems and databases
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, and other applicable laws
- Process and track COBRA notifications and qualifying events in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with payroll departments to ensure accurate premium deductions and billing reconciliation
