Position Overview

As a Commercial Tire Retread Technician, you will be the backbone of our production operation, working with specialized retreading equipment to maximize tire life and support customer fleet operations. You'll perform tire casing inspections, complete repair procedures, and ensure all finished products meet our rigorous quality standards. Key Responsibilities Tire Inspection & Evaluation

• Inspect commercial tire casings for damage, wear, and retread eligibility
• Identify repairable and non-repairable tire conditions with precision
• Document inspection findings accurately and thoroughly
• Follow all quality control standards and procedures consistently

Tire Repair & Retreading

• Repair commercial tire casings according to company guidelines and industry best practices
• Prepare tire surfaces for retreading processes
• Apply tread materials and operate specialized retreading equipment
• Assist with curing and finishing operations
• Perform final quality inspections before product release

Equipment Operations

• Safely operate buffers, builders, curing chambers, and related production equipment
• Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance
• Report equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime
• Maintain production efficiency standards

Safety & Compliance

• Follow OSHA, DOT, environmental, and company safety requirements
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Adhere to all quality assurance procedures

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with production and fleet service teams to meet operational goals
• Communicate effectively regarding tire status and production schedules
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture

Qualifications Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to regularly lift 75 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the workday
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred

• Commercial tire retread experience
• Tire repair and inspection experience
• Manufacturing or production experience
• Knowledge of commercial truck tire construction
• Mechanical aptitude and equipment operation experience
• Forklift certification or experience
• Familiarity with OSHA and workplace safety standards

Compensation & Benefits Competitive Pay

• Entry-Level Retread Technician: $16.00 - $18.00/hr
• Overtime eligibility where applicable
