Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

This role focuses on inspecting casted and machined parts in a precision machine shop environment. You will perform in-process and final inspections, verify parts against engineering drawings and blueprints, and ensure all components meet established quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect castings and machined parts during in-process and final inspection to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Use precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges, to verify critical dimensions and tolerances.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine inspection criteria and acceptance standards.
  • Perform visual inspections to identify defects, irregularities, and nonconformances in casted and machined components.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain complete, organized quality records.
  • Follow established quality procedures, inspection standards, and work instructions during all inspection activities.
  • Communicate inspection findings clearly to production and quality teams to support timely resolution of issues.

Essential Skills

  • Basic to intermediate experience using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Proficiency in visual inspection techniques to identify defects and nonconformances.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency in measurements and documentation.
  • Ability to document inspection results clearly and maintain quality documentation and records.

Work Environment

You will work in a clean, climate-controlled production machining environment focused on precision and quality. The inspection department handles both in-process and final inspection of machined and casted parts, using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

This is a Permanent position based out of MINNEAPOLIS, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
