- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams on innovative projects
- Gain hands-on experience in the growing field of electro-optical technology
- Assembling cable assemblies, printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), and related electronic hardware using soldering, crimping, wire preparation, connector installation, and microscope-assisted techniques
- Inspecting and testing cable assemblies, PCBAs, and electronic circuits to engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and quality standards
- Integrating electronic components, cable assemblies, and subassemblies into electro-opto-mechanical systems and products
- Troubleshooting assembly and integration issues, and assisting in identifying root causes of electrical and mechanical defects
- Preparing, updating, and maintaining work instructions, assembly procedures, and test documentation
- Accurately documenting assembly, inspection, and test results in accordance with quality and traceability requirements
- Collaborating with engineering personnel to support design transitions from prototype to production
- Kitting and staging materials per work orders and bills of materials
- Preparing, cleaning, labeling, and packaging components and assemblies for production or shipment
- Supporting tests of subassemblies and final products using laboratory instrumentation and test equipment
- Performing low-complexity opto-mechanical assembly operations, including installing mechanical hardware and optical components
- Maintaining organized workspaces and adhering to safety, quality, and ESD requirements
- Supporting inventory, material handling, and continuous improvement activities as needed
- Have an Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Electronics Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology, Photonics, or a related field
- Bring at least 2 years of experience in electro-optical assembly
- Possess hands-on skills in soldering, crimping, wire harness fabrication, and electronic assembly
- Can read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions
- Are experienced with microscopes, hand tools, electrical test equipment, and precision measurement devices
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Are proficient with standard computer applications and electronic documentation
- (Preferred) Hold IPC certifications (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620)
- (Preferred) Have experience with electro-optical, photonics, laser, imaging, or sensor-based products
- (Preferred) Are familiar with optical handling and contamination control practices, prototype builds, and new product introduction (NPI) activities
- (Preferred) Understand ESD control requirements and quality management systems
- Can perform detailed work under magnification for extended periods and sit or stand for prolonged periods
