Job Description
As a Production Assembler III, you will play a key role in supporting production manufacturing to meet customer deadlines. You must have a working knowledge of production standards and production goals. Your tasks will include receiving products, entering them into the system, cleaning and checking for worn-out or broken parts, and performing basic functional software testing for updates. You will disassemble and replace parts according to work orders, operate within established policies and procedures, and seek approval for any deviations. This role requires you to perform in-house quality checks and document any defective parts. Daily use of a computer for work orders and training is expected.
Responsibilities
- Read and document instructions for specific jobs daily.
- Perform in-house quality checks to ensure all parts meet standards.
- Document defective parts following the 'see something, say something' policy.
- Use cleaning solutions to clean products as needed.
- Disassemble and replace parts according to work orders.
- Operate within established policies and procedures.
- Perform basic functional testing on software updates.
Essential Skills
- 1+ years of assembly and/or manufacturing experience.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read, write, and use a computer extensively.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with electronic assembly.
- Experience with torque tools, assembly line, and general production tasks.
- Ability to sit and stand for entire shifts and lift up to 45 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with mechanical and/or electrical assembly is a plus.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, JD Edwards inventory system, and RF experience.
- Ability to frequently push, pull, bend, kneel, and stoop.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, well-lit, temperature-controlled environment. You will be stationed at a line with a computer and required to wear ESD straps, ESD smock, and safety glasses in certain areas. Maintain safety by keeping hair up and wearing the necessary attire to prevent electric static discharge. The position is on 1st shift, Monday to Friday, from 5:45 am to 2:15 pm, with overtime as needed.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
