Welder Supervisor
Job Description
The Weld Process Control Supervisor is responsible for developing, controlling, and continuously improving welding processes used within our manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have expertise in welding techniques, metallurgy, and industrial production processes. This role focuses on process optimization for TIG, robotic, and orbital welding, ensuring high-quality weld outcomes, regulatory compliance, and cleanroom compatibility. The position also serves as a technical leader for weld inspection, operator development, and process validation.
Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain process control parameters for welding processes, with an emphasis on orbital welding, including current, rotation speed, arc voltage, shielding gas flow, and travel speed.
- Lead troubleshooting of weld defects and variability, performing root cause analysis and deploying corrective actions.
- Lead equipment qualification, calibration, and preventive maintenance strategy for welding systems.
- Act as the technical lead for weld quality, establishing inspection methods, acceptance criteria, and NDT requirements.
- Lead weld failure investigations and ensure proper documentation and traceability for audits and customer requirements.
- Provide hands-on coaching and technical guidance to weld operators; develop training and certification programs to standardize practices.
- Support operator qualification.
- Expertise in TIG welding, robotic welding, and orbital welding.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and AWS certification.
- Experience in welding inspection, process control, and welding supervision.
- Experience in purge welding.
- Stainless pipe welding.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
