Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, equipment repair, and support for production activities in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime and support continuous operations.
- Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, pneumatic systems, and related equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to identify root causes and implement effective repairs.
- Carry out maintenance tasks such as welding, metal fabrication, plumbing, and carpentry as needed to support equipment and facility upkeep.
- Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring clear records of work performed and parts used.
- Support and coordinate with external contractors, including preparing equipment and areas for repair work and monitoring progress as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, particularly when working around propane and butane used in aerosol product manufacturing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in all maintenance and production areas.
- Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned to support facility and production needs.
- At least two years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Hands-on experience performing preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, pneumatic systems, and related equipment.
- Ability to perform repairs and maintenance using welding, metal fabrication, plumbing, and basic carpentry techniques.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems in an industrial environment.
- Ability to read and complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
- Strong safety mindset with consistent adherence to safety procedures, especially when working around flammable materials such as propane and butane.
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Apprenticeship or associate degree in a related technical field preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with aerosol products or similar processes is beneficial.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with contractors and internal teams.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple maintenance tasks and priorities.
- Willingness to work different shifts and overtime as needed to support production demands.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a manufacturing facility that operates multiple shifts. One opening is on 1st shift, Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and another is on 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., with overtime opportunities on Fridays. You work in and around production areas where propane and butane are used for aerosol products, following strict safety protocols and procedures. The environment is hands-on and equipment-focused, with regular interaction with pumps, motors, pneumatic systems, and other industrial machinery. You are expected to maintain a clean, orderly workspace and follow all facility safety and operating guidelines.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70720.00 - $87360.00/yr.
