Litigation Associate
Job Description
We are seeking a Litigation Associate with 3+ years of civil litigation experience to join a growing litigation practice in Orlando and Jacksonville, Florida. The attorney will handle matters involving construction defects, with prior construction defect experience strongly preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
Handle litigation matters involving construction defect claims.
Develop and implement effective legal strategies.
Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis.
Draft pleadings, motions, legal briefs, and memoranda.
Represent clients in depositions, court proceedings, and arbitrations.
Prepare persuasive legal arguments and written work product.
Manage multiple cases and claims simultaneously.
Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other parties.
Collaborate with attorneys and staff throughout the litigation process.
Maintain organized case files and meet all deadlines.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active Florida Bar admission in good standing.
3+ years of civil litigation experience.
Construction defect experience strongly preferred, but general civil litigation experience will be considered.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and legal briefs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong academic credentials.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
