What You'll DoAs the Manufacturing Team Lead, you'll be responsible for the complete mechanical and electrical assembly of custom equipment while supporting the day-to-day success of the production floor.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the complete electro-mechanical assembly of equipment from start to finish.
- Build and wire control panels, including PLCs and drives (programming not required).
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Assemble conveyors, install motors, panel boards, and electrical components.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues throughout the build process.
- Support multiple production lines and provide technical guidance when challenges arise.
- Perform quality inspections and ensure all products meet established specifications.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Train and mentor team members by sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and production software to document builds and track production activities.
- Communicate project updates, challenges, and improvement opportunities with leadership.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- 2+ years of electro-mechanical assembly experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Experience building, wiring, and assembling industrial equipment.
- Proficiency using hand and power tools.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, including Excel, and learning new software systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a team-oriented culture.
- Experience building control panels and working with PLC-based equipment.
- Prior leadership, mentoring, or lead technician experience.
- Knowledge of quality control and inspection procedures.
- Experience supporting process improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Familiarity with production line operation and workflow management.

Work Environment
- Brand-new, climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
- Clean, organized, and modern production environment.
- Standard schedule: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Flexible start-time accommodations available when needed.
- Hands-on role involving mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and production support.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
