Production Helper
Job Description
The Production Helper operates and tends assigned production line machines, ensuring materials are correctly loaded, finished products are harvested efficiently, and equipment is cleaned and set up for the next production run. This role supports multiple areas within the production facility, maintains quality standards based on product specifications, and performs all tasks safely and accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Tend assigned production machines according to established procedures and specific product requirements.
- Retrieve raw materials and ensure they are correctly loaded onto machines during setup.
- Harvest finished materials from machines and prepare them for the next stage of production or packaging.
- Clean machines and set up the next spools or materials to maintain continuous production flow.
- Inspect all materials placed on machines during setup to ensure they meet product specifications.
- Inspect finished materials harvested from machines to verify they meet defined quality standards.
- Apply varying quality standards based on different product specifications and document any issues as required.
- Assist in tasks within the primary department and support other production areas as needed to meet production goals.
- Perform all work in a safe manner while maintaining required production standards, with or without direct supervision.
- Work independently while maintaining effective communication and coordination with coworkers and other departments.
- Interact professionally with coworkers and contribute positively to a team-oriented environment.
- Follow all standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and production instructions consistently.
- Experience working in production, manufacturing, or general labor environments.
- Ability to operate or support line operator functions in a manufacturing setting.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to thrive and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to lift 10–25 lbs frequently and 25–50 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to stand on concrete for an entire shift.
- Ability to walk up ladders or stairs safely.
- Ability to lift materials up to 65 lbs repetitively using proper lifting techniques.
- Ability to push and pull loads up to 110 lbs.
- Consistently reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Previous experience in general production or manufacturing roles.
- Experience as a line operator or production helper in a similar environment.
- Comfort working with repetitive tasks while maintaining high quality standards.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate across different production areas.
- Willingness to learn and follow detailed work instructions and safety procedures.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in an extremely large, climate-controlled manufacturing facility of nearly 600,000 square feet. You will primarily work in an area focused on re-packing small rolls of string, operating and tending production lines and related equipment. The position requires standing on concrete for the full shift, frequent lifting and material handling, and regular movement around the production floor, including using ladders or stairs. The environment is structured, safety-focused, and designed to support continuous production with clear procedures and expectations.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of COVINGTON, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.55 - $19.55/hr.
