What You'll DoAs a Mechanical Assembler, you'll be involved in multiple stages of the manufacturing process, including:
- Assemble large window units using hand tools, power tools, brackets, fasteners, clips, and hardware.
- Measure, fit, and align components using blueprints, tape measures, and assembly instructions.
- Apply caulking and sealing materials to ensure products meet quality and performance standards.
- Conduct quality inspections and testing to verify proper assembly and sealing.
- Assist with fabrication, fitting, installation, and final assembly activities.
- Package finished products by wrapping and securing units for safe transport.
- Work with large glass, steel, and sheet metal components while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
- Support multiple production areas and learn a variety of assembly processes through cross-training opportunities.
- Retrieve materials and assist with product testing when required.
- Help the team meet daily production and quality goals in a collaborative environment.

What We're Looking ForWe're seeking dependable, motivated individuals who take pride in producing quality work and enjoy being part of a team.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly, construction, fabrication, or related hands-on environments.
- Ability to read blueprints and accurately use measuring tools such as tape measures.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, drills, and assembly equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and experience using computer systems in a work environment.
- Experience with quality inspections and production processes is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and assist where needed throughout the facility.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- Active manufacturing environment with a strong emphasis on teamwork and safety.
- Work with large window units, glass, steel, and sheet metal components.
- Ability to stand and move throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Some work may take place in outdoor areas or testing booths.
- Facility is not climate-controlled and may include exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Required use of PPE, including safety glasses, steel-toe footwear, and protective clothing when necessary.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chester, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
