We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Generalist to support a contract opportunity in Weston, Ohio. This role serves as the primary HR resource for a growing manufacturing environment, combining day-to-day employee support with broader people strategy. The position works closely with site leadership to strengthen employee engagement, maintain compliance, and deliver effective programs across recruitment, benefits, payroll coordination, and performance management.
Responsibilities:
• Act as the main point of contact for human resources matters, advising leaders on staffing plans, employee development, and organizational priorities.
• Convert business objectives into practical HR programs that improve retention, workplace culture, and overall employee performance.
• Share relevant workforce metrics, compliance updates, and people trends with leadership to support informed decision-making.
• Build strong relationships across the facility through a visible onsite presence and proactive support for employees and supervisors.
• Guide managers and team members through coaching, performance discussions, corrective action, and workplace conflict resolution.
• Oversee the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, candidate evaluation, interviews, offer coordination, and onboarding orientation.
• Administer employee benefits and coordinate payroll activities with an external provider to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Maintain HR records, support HRIS data accuracy, and manage policies, attendance tracking, and performance review processes.
• Conduct investigations related to employee concerns, policy breaches, or safety matters while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
• Monitor employment law and labor-related requirements, support union agreement administration, and recommend process improvements that strengthen HR operations.• Demonstrated experience in a broad human resources role with responsibility across employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and HR administration.
• Working knowledge of employment regulations, workplace investigations, policy management, and compliance practices in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Ability to partner effectively with managers and executives while also handling hands-on HR tasks independently.
• Experience supporting payroll coordination and benefits administration, ideally in partnership with third-party vendors.
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and maintaining accurate employee data and records.
• Strong communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of an organization.
• Comfortable working in an onsite role with regular interaction on the production floor and within office operations.
