We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to come onsite to support core people operations for a growing team in San Francisco, California. This is a 3-6 month long-term (may extend) contract position is ideal for someone who can balance hands-on HR administration with employee support, compliance awareness, and strong organizational discipline. The role will work closely with office leadership to maintain smooth HR processes, accurate records, and a positive employee experience across the full employment lifecycle.


Responsibilities:

• Manage daily human resources activities, including employee data updates, onboarding coordination, offboarding support, and general HR administration.

• Partner with office leadership to provide HR support for a workforce of fewer than 100 employees and respond to routine employee-related needs.

• Help maintain alignment with company policies and applicable employment regulations while assisting with HR program documentation and process development.

• Oversee employee recordkeeping and maintain accurate information within HR systems to support consistency, compliance, and reporting needs.

• Handle basic benefits administration tasks, including assisting with enrollments, updates, and employee questions as needed.

• Use Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and HR platforms such as Sequoia to manage documentation, workflows, and operational reporting efficiently.

• Support employee relations matters by serving as a dependable point of contact for day-to-day HR questions and administrative guidance./

• 5+ years of experience in human resources, including broad exposure to HR operations and administration.
• Demonstrated background in onboarding, offboarding, employee records management, and day-to-day HR support.
• Working knowledge of employment practices, policy compliance, and general HR documentation standards.
• Experience assisting with benefits-related administration and responding to employee inquiries with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and workplace productivity tools, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate data and organized personnel documentation.
• Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate closely with employees and internal business partners.
