Paralegal
Job Description
We've partnered with a well-established and growing Family Law Firm in Beverly Hills that is looking to add an experienced Family Law Paralegal to its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal who has strong California family law experience and wants to work with an established legal team while maintaining meaningful flexibility. The position offers substantial remote flexibility. The selected candidate will be expected to attend one in-person all-staff meeting per month in Beverly Hills.
What makes this opportunity different
Remote-first / highly flexible work arrangement
Only one in-person all-staff meeting per month in Beverly Hills
$90,000-$120,000 salary range, depending on experience
Work directly with experienced family law attorneys
Opportunity to support sophisticated and complex family law matters
Stable, established firm with continued growth
Collaborative team environment rather than a traditional high-pressure office model
What you'll be doing
You will play an important role in supporting attorneys throughout the lifecycle of family law matters, including:
Managing and maintaining active family law case files.
Preparing and organising pleadings, declarations, discovery, financial disclosures and other family law documents.
Assisting with Requests for Orders, responses, supporting declarations and related filings.
Managing case calendars, deadlines, hearings and other critical dates.
Assisting attorneys with discovery and document organisation.
Supporting mediation, settlement conferences, hearings and trial preparation.
Preparing exhibits, trial materials and other case-related documentation.
Communicating professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts and other parties as appropriate.
Coordinating with attorneys and other members of the legal team to keep matters moving efficiently.
Handling confidential client and case information with discretion.
Providing proactive case-management support and anticipating attorney needs.
What they're looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
Several years of recent California family law paralegal experience.
Strong knowledge of California family law procedures and court filings.
Experience supporting matters involving divorce/dissolution, custody, support and property issues.
Strong understanding of family law pleadings, discovery and financial disclosures.
Experience assisting with hearings, settlement conferences and/or trial preparation.
Excellent organisation and deadline-management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative with attorneys and staff.
Strong attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.
Comfort working independently in a remote environment.
Experience with legal case-management and document-management systems.
Paralegal certification is a plus, but the firm is primarily interested in the depth and quality of your practical California family law experience.
Who this could be ideal for
This could be particularly attractive to an experienced family law paralegal who:
Has been working in a traditional family law office and wants greater flexibility.
Is tired of commuting every day.
Wants to work remotely without losing access to an established legal team.
Enjoys being deeply involved in case management rather than performing purely administrative tasks.
Wants long-term stability and the opportunity to work alongside experienced attorneys.
