Staff Accountant-Winter Park

Our client in Winter Park, FL is seeking an onsite, direct hire Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong general ledger experience who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement and supporting schedule preparation
• Complete bank reconciliations and research reconciling items
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and prepaid expense accounting
• Assist with variance analysis
• Apply cash receipts and support accounts receivable functions
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Support internal and external audits
• Identify process improvements and assist with special projects

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of Staff Accountant or general accounting experience
• Strong experience with:
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Fixed Assets & Depreciation
  • Journal Entries
  • Month-End Close
  • Prepaid Expenses
  • General Ledger Accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and organizational skills

Salary Range

• $60-70K
