Job Description
This role focuses on installing cabinets, drawers, ladder racks, and other specialized equipment into a variety of vehicles, primarily Ford models. You will use a range of power and hand tools to complete detailed assembly builds while working as part of a production team in a clean, climate-controlled environment.
Responsibilities- Install cabinets, drawers, ladder racks, and related equipment into a mix of different vehicles, primarily including Ford F-150s and Mavericks.
- Use a variety of power tools and hand tools to complete vehicle upfitting and assembly builds according to specifications.
- Follow detailed instructions and assembly guidelines to ensure accurate and high-quality installations.
- Inspect work throughout the installation process to confirm proper fit, function, and finish of all components.
- Handle bending, lifting, and working in awkward positions as needed to access installation areas inside and around vehicles.
- Work collaboratively on a production line with a team of approximately 10–20 individuals and coordinate tasks with 1–3 coworkers at a given station.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety and housekeeping standards.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and follow all safety procedures.
- Demonstrate consistent attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude to support team productivity and workflow.
- Experience using hand tools for assembly and installation tasks.
- Experience using power tools in a production, assembly, or upfitting environment.
- Background in assembly, installing, or general production work.
- Ability to perform vehicle upfitting or similar installation work.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure precise and accurate installations.
- Ability to bend, lift, and work in awkward positions for extended periods as required by the job.
- Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
- Previous experience in vehicle upfitting, automotive assembly, or related trades is beneficial.
- Comfort working on a production line with multiple team members.
- Willingness to learn new tools, installation techniques, and processes.
- Ability to adapt to different vehicle types and equipment configurations.
- PPE required: safety glasses, steel toe shoes, jeans or work-material pants, and ear plugs (for cave location).

Work EnvironmentWork takes place across two facilities, including a location in Subtropolis. Both facilities are clean, organized, and climate controlled, providing a comfortable and consistent environment throughout the year. You will work on a production line with roughly 10–20 individuals and collaborate with 1–3 coworkers at a given station. The role involves regular use of hand tools and power tools, as well as physical tasks such as bending and lifting. Required attire includes safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and jeans or work-material pants, with ear plugs required in the cave location. The environment emphasizes teamwork, safety, and efficient workflow.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
