This role serves as the dedicated HVAC expert for a 300,000-square-foot, six-story medical office building, taking full ownership of the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of all HVAC systems, including water source heat pumps, boilers, cooling towers, AHUs, and associated mechanical equipment. The individual will work closely with the onsite engineering and property management team while focusing exclusively on HVAC operations, helping transition work currently handled by outside contractors to an in-house model. This position is ideal for an experienced commercial HVAC technician seeking long-term stability at a single location, with responsibility for a large and complex HVAC infrastructure and access to brand-new tools and equipment provided by the company.
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience, closer to 10+ preferred
- D2 CT HVAC license / S-1 license
Plusses:
- Experience with Warm water boiler operation and maintenance. (Gas Fired)
- Experience with Warm water heating loops, AHU’s, Pumps, Expansion Tanks, Etc...
- Experience With High and Low voltage electric hot water heaters. Water sourced Heat Pumps and DX split AC systems experience.
- General knowledge of system controls.
- Use of refrigerant leak detection equipment, refrigerant reclamation equipment, refrigerant gauges and most tools of the trade.
- Cooling Tower Operations experience
