Job Description
Join a close‑knit production team as an Assembler on a stable first-shift schedule, contributing to the precise assembly of thermal couples, heating sensors, and thermowells. You will receive hands-on training and work closely with experienced leaders until you are fully confident working independently, while collaborating daily with quality and production teams to meet customer and production requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform bench assembly of thermal couples, heating sensors, and thermowells with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Work from job orders, blueprints, and drawings to complete assemblies according to production specifications and deadlines.
- Use digital calipers, rulers, and multimeters to take precise measurements and perform inspections on components and finished products.
- Inspect assembled parts to verify quality, functionality, and adherence to specifications before moving them to the next stage of production.
- Collaborate daily with Quality Assurance, Production Leads, and Supervisors to address questions, clarify requirements, and resolve issues.
- Follow established work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards throughout the assembly process.
- Maintain an organized individual workstation, including tools, equipment, and documentation, to support efficient workflow.
- Participate in training with the shop floor manager and apply feedback to continuously improve assembly techniques and productivity.
- Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production output and team scheduling.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively, supporting coworkers, and being open to learning new tasks.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience working in an assembly environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or drawings to perform assembly tasks.
- Ability to accurately read and use a ruler for precise measurements.
- Experience using measurement tools such as digital calipers and multimeters.
- Experience in electrical wiring and electrical assembly.
- Soldering experience for electrical or electronic assemblies.
- Inspection experience to verify quality and conformance to specifications.
- Strong and stable job tenure demonstrating reliability and commitment.
- Ability to perform well in a team environment and collaborate with others.
- Strong attendance and dependability to support production needs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous precise or fine assembly experience.
- Experience wiring products in a production or manufacturing setting.
- Experience in both mechanical and electrical assembly.
- Openness to learning new processes and techniques.
- Comfort working under guidance initially and transitioning to autonomous work.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holyoke, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
