Production Supervisor
Job Description
This role oversees a designated area within a corrugated manufacturing operation, ensuring the department runs at peak effectiveness by driving key performance indicators, leading a team on the production floor, and optimizing resources and processes across a third-shift schedule.
Responsibilities- Lead and supervise approximately 20 production team members in a corrugated manufacturing environment, ensuring they meet established goals and performance expectations.
- Maintain a strong presence on the production floor, leading by example and actively supporting team members during daily operations.
- Monitor and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) for the assigned area, identifying opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Review and interpret production reports to ensure staffing levels, machine usage, and workflow are optimized throughout the shift.
- Ensure team members are in the right place at the right time to maximize production output and minimize downtime.
- Prepare and deliver clear and accurate shift reports for the leadership team, summarizing performance, issues, and progress toward goals.
- Step in as needed to perform production tasks, operate equipment, or drive a forklift to support the team and maintain continuous operations.
- Promote and enforce safety initiatives and standards, reinforcing a culture of safety and accountability across the shift.
- Support process improvement efforts within the department, contributing ideas and implementing changes that improve standards and performance.
- Use Microsoft Office tools to track performance, document activities, and communicate effectively with leadership and other departments.
- 3–5 years of production supervision experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience improving standards and performance within a department.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team of around 20 employees.
- Hands-on production supervision experience, including being comfortable working on the floor as needed.
- Ability to interpret and act on production and performance reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety initiatives and procedures.
- Willingness and ability to work third shift (10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday).
- Experience in a corrugated manufacturing or corrugated box production environment.
- Background in process improvement within a production setting.
- Comfort operating production equipment and driving a forklift when required.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a corrugated box manufacturing facility with a hands-on production environment. You can expect to spend significant time on the production floor, working closely with operators and equipment in an industrial setting. The position follows a third-shift schedule from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. The role is paid on an hourly basis. The work environment emphasizes safety, with multiple safety initiatives in place and recognition for safe practices. Dress will align with typical manufacturing standards, including appropriate personal protective equipment as required for a corrugated production facility.
