Our client, a successful & growing law firm, is seeking a Paralegal to join their team. This position centers on trusts and estates work, partnering with attorneys and clients on estate planning and probate-related matters from document preparation through administration. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-moving legal environment.


Role: Paralegal

Location: Needham Heights, MA

Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 (depending on experience) + great benefits!

Schedule: In Office M-F


Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive paralegal support to attorneys across estate planning, estate administration, elder law, and tax.
  • Assist with the preparation, organization, and execution of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, and related documents.
  • Assist with estate and trust administration, including gathering and organizing estate assets, preparing inventories, coordinating with financial institutions and other professionals, and maintaining administration files.
  • Assist with probate matters and preparation of documents for filing with the Probate and Family Court.
  • Prepare and organize documentation relating to MassHealth/Medicaid planning, asset protection, guardianships, conservatorships, and other elder law matters as needed.
  • Assist attorneys with estate, gift, and trust tax matters, including gathering financial information and supporting the preparation of tax-related filings.
  • Conduct factual and legal research and assist attorneys in gathering information necessary for client matters.

Requirements:

  • 2 or more years of paralegal experience within a law firm environment doing trusts and estates, estate administration, elder law, probate, or tax.
  • Experience with estate planning documents and/or probate administration required.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally with clients and outside professionals.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a collaborative team.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with legal research, document management, and case/matter management systems.
