The Racker is responsible for preparing metal components for the anodizing and powder coating processes by securely hanging, positioning, and removing parts from production racks. This role plays a critical part in ensuring parts move efficiently through the finishing process while maintaining quality standards and preventing damage to finished products. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys hands-on work, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Hang and secure metal parts on racks according to production specifications and quality requirements.
  • Ensure parts are properly spaced and positioned to allow for complete coating coverage during anodizing and powder coating operations.
  • Remove finished parts from racks after processing while preventing scratches, dents, or other damage.
  • Inspect parts before and after processing for defects, damage, or quality concerns.
  • Load and unload racks from conveyor lines and staging areas.
  • Follow work instructions, production schedules, and quality standards to ensure parts are processed correctly.
  • Assist with part preparation activities, including cleaning, masking, and packaging as needed.
  • Maintain racks, hooks, and fixtures to ensure they are clean and in proper working condition.
  • Communicate quality or production issues to supervisors and team members.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to company safety procedures.
  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining high levels of quality and productivity.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with production, general labor, machine operation, assembly, sandblasting, and paint preparation.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and handle medical device assembly.
  • Skill in order pulling, general production, forklift operation, packing, janitorial tasks, packaging, and cooking.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to stand on feet for an 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Work Environment

Work is performed in shop conditions and can exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The shift is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blairsville, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
