The Field Installation Coordinator plays a vital role in the Site Project Management Team, responsible for installing company equipment at customer facilities. This position involves coordination between Site Project Teams, Remote Management, and the customer to ensure seamless installation work. Typical assignments include material planner, mechanical/electrical worker and/or supervisor, overall floor coordinator, team leader, and QAQC leader.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily wiring tasks, including pre-wiring components and installing junction boxes.
  • Prepare systems for downstream robotics installation, managed by a separate team.
  • Wear and work in a cleanroom suit for extended periods while maintaining compliance with all cleanroom protocols.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of 4–5 technicians, communicating daily plans and instructions from the Site Manager.
  • Ensure team alignment, workflow clarity, and task completion while performing hands-on work.
  • Maintain a consistent and steady pace in a role that requires patience and focus.
  • Monitor scheduling, procedures, and performance of installation work at customer facilities, recommending improvements as necessary.
  • Oversee implementation and training of approved control systems and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Installation Site Manager and Site Management Team to analyze errors and develop solutions.
  • Assist in coordinating and monitoring task execution and progress.
  • Develop installation, qualification, and repair procedures for company equipment.
  • Coordinate installation personnel to ensure quality work and provide appropriate training.
  • Administer day-to-day operations at the customer's facility.
  • Receive and oversee installation of parts for company equipment.
  • Monitor, guide, and train contractors and vendors for efficient operation.
  • Compile and complete a Punch list with subcontractors to formally complete projects.
  • Supervise and coordinate material movement, electrical and mechanical contractors, and QAQC work based on project needs.
  • Attend daily in-field whiteboard meetings.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of equipment install coordination within a manufacturing environment.
  • Natural leadership skills, verified through references or military background.
  • 2+ years of mechanical hands-on troubleshooting and/or installing equipment.
  • 1+ year of basic electrical testing with Multimeters.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Skill in mechanical equipment installation and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in project coordination, oscilloscope usage, and wiring.
  • Experience with equipment installs and troubleshooting electro/mechanical equipment.
  • Familiarity with pre-wiring, juncture boxes, and basic electrical testing.
  • Understanding of blueprint, semiconductor, logistics, schematics, QA/QC, budgeting, planning, and schedule planning.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC motors, conveyors, cranes, maintenance repair, gearboxes, PLCs, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, and Programmable Logic Controllers.
Work Environment

This position is based on-site at the TSMC site in North Phoenix, with no travel required. The work environment is fast-paced and requires working in a cleanroom environment, wearing a full cleanroom suit. The team-oriented atmosphere features straightforward and supportive leadership, with a culture focused on clarity, honesty, and setting realistic expectations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
