Job Description
This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-based systems in an industrial manufacturing environment. You will support production by minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient facility. Openings are available on 2nd and 3rd shift, with every other weekend work on 1st shift.
Responsibilities
- Perform electro-mechanical maintenance on all plant equipment and facilities, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems.
- Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and replace components on industrial manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics to identify issues and determine effective repair strategies.
- Troubleshoot PLC systems, including platforms such as Allen-Bradley and Siemens, to resolve control and automation issues.
- Apply maintenance knowledge to increase productivity, reduce downtime, and minimize waste across the facility.
- Respond quickly and effectively to machine downtime events, working with a strong sense of urgency.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to extend equipment life and prevent unplanned failures.
- Conduct electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on high-voltage systems, including 480V and 3-phase power.
- Carry out mechanical maintenance, including fabrication, welding, and mechanical repairs as needed.
Essential Skills
- At least 5–7 years of experience successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance, including both electrical and mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong electro-mechanical maintenance skills, including work on complex industrial machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair electrical systems, including high-level electrical work up to 480V.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLC systems, including Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, including gears, bearings, conveyors, and related components.
- Practical experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, wiring, and electrical maintenance on industrial equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience performing electro-mechanical maintenance on boxing or corrugated equipment is preferred but not required.
- Experience in fabrication and welding to support mechanical repairs and equipment modifications.
- Experience in maintenance repair work within a warehouse or similar industrial environment.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and documentation practices.
This is a Permanent position based out of Reading, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
