Job Description
This 3rd shift General Production Worker role involves operating production machinery, supporting blending processes, managing inventory, and performing quality control tests in a manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in ensuring products meet quality standards, supporting press-side operations, and maintaining a safe, organized work area while following all safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery safely and efficiently during 3rd shift operations.
- Support blending activities by following established procedures and ensuring accurate mixtures.
- Handle inventory control tasks, including tracking materials and products as they move through production.
- Perform quality control tests to verify that products meet required specifications and standards.
- Provide press-side technical support to keep production running smoothly and address basic issues.
- Follow all safety requirements and company procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, assembly, and packaging tasks as needed.
- Operate sit-down forklifts to move materials, products, and supplies in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct visual inspections and basic checks on equipment and products to identify defects or issues.
- Maintain housekeeping standards by keeping work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Complete monthly reporting related to production, inventory, or quality as assigned.
- Use basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office programs, to enter data and complete documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience performing quality control tests in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Experience providing press-side technical support or working directly with production lines.
- Experience working in older manufacturing facilities and adapting to varying temperatures.
- Comfort working on 3rd shift and maintaining productivity and focus during overnight hours.
- Strong organizational skills to support housekeeping and monthly reporting requirements.

Work Environment
The role is based in an older but organized manufacturing building, where production areas are somewhat clean and structured to support safe operations. Temperatures can vary, with the facility becoming hot in the summer and cold in the winter, so you should be comfortable working in changing environmental conditions. You will work around production machinery, forklifts, and material-handling equipment, and you will use computers and Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation. The position operates on 3rd shift, requiring overnight work hours, and adherence to all safety rules and housekeeping standards is expected to maintain an orderly work area.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Appleton, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
