This role supports daily production operations by working in the cutting area, accurately inputting data, and assisting with general labor tasks to ensure products are prepared and processed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Stand and work in the cutting area to support ongoing production activities.
  • Accurately input production data into the appropriate systems or tools.
  • Use a tape measure to take precise measurements and ensure materials meet required specifications.
  • Assist with general labor tasks such as moving materials, organizing work areas, and supporting other production processes.
  • Operate or assist with the use of a scissor lift as needed, following safety guidelines.
  • Use hand tools to cut, adjust, or assemble materials as required.
  • Support inventory control by counting, tracking, and organizing materials and products.
  • Follow established procedures and safety practices while working in the production environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient, clean, and organized work area.
Essential Skills
  • Experience working in production or general labor environments.
  • Ability to accurately use a tape measure and perform basic mathematics for measurements.
  • Comfort standing for extended periods in a cutting or production area.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools for cutting, adjusting, or assembling materials.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude to understand tools, equipment, and production processes.
  • Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines consistently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Background as a production installer, building maintenance worker, or handyman.
  • Experience operating or assisting with a scissor lift.
  • Experience with inventory control, including counting and organizing materials.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a production setting.

Work Environment

This position is based in a production facility, primarily in the cutting area, where you will stand for most of your shift and handle materials and tools. The environment is active and task-focused, with an emphasis on safety, organization, and accurate measurement and data entry. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Vergne, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.75/hr.
