Industrial Maintenance Technician
About the RoleWe are seeking a hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the operation and reliability of manufacturing equipment in a technologically advanced production environment. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing a wide range of machinery and support systems critical to production operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and working with automated manufacturing equipment. Primary ResponsibilitiesEquipment Maintenance & Repair
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and production machinery.
- Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear, damage, or potential failures before they impact production.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to restore equipment functionality.
- Repair, replace, or adjust machine components to maintain safe and efficient operation.
- Assist with new equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and commissioning activities.
- Support equipment reliability initiatives designed to improve uptime and performance.
- Analyze equipment issues and determine effective repair strategies with minimal production disruption.
- Use technical documentation, schematics, equipment manuals, blueprints, and maintenance procedures to complete assignments.
- Support troubleshooting efforts involving CNC machinery, hydraulic systems, thermal processing equipment, laser systems, inspection equipment, and other industrial assets.
- Utilize precision measurement tools to verify machine alignment, operating tolerances, and system performance.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements and equipment enhancements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Create and close work orders while documenting repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Monitor equipment history and maintenance trends to support proactive asset management.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with production teams to minimize downtime.
- Source replacement parts, consumables, and repair materials as needed.
- Work closely with production personnel, engineering teams, and fellow maintenance technicians to resolve equipment challenges.
- Provide knowledge sharing and hands-on guidance to less experienced maintenance personnel.
- Participate in cross-training initiatives to strengthen departmental capabilities.
- Support maintenance projects and facility improvement efforts.
- Follow all company safety programs, lockout/tagout procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure maintenance work is performed according to established standards and documented procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety awareness, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years of industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and equipment repair on production machinery.
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical and electromechanical systems.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, maintenance manuals, and engineering documentation.
- Experience utilizing computerized maintenance management software for work order tracking and maintenance documentation.
- Familiarity with shop mathematics and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to safe work practices.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience maintaining CNC equipment and automated manufacturing systems.
- Familiarity with hydraulic presses, thermal processing equipment, laser systems, vacuum furnaces, X-ray inspection equipment, or similar industrial technologies.
- Previous experience in aerospace, defense, energy, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Forklift operating experience and knowledge of safe material-handling practices.
- Understanding of industry codes, maintenance standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience mentoring or training maintenance employees.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate projects across multiple departments.
- Interest in learning advanced manufacturing technologies and expanding technical expertise.

This is a Permanent position based out of Kent, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $64792.00 - $92976.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
