Forklift Operator
Job Description
The chosen candidate will take on multiple roles within the facility, ensuring a smooth operation by being cross-trained in all processes.
Responsibilities- Lift and move 50lbs consistently throughout the day.
- Break down raw materials and prepare them for further processing.
- Fill sacks, stack them on pallets, and ensure they are ready for transportation.
- Move pallets of materials efficiently within the facility.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and potentially some front-end loaders.
- Experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Proficiency in heavy equipment operation.
- Strong material handling skills.
- General labor experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Mathematical skills for accurately weighing materials.
- Experience operating mobile equipment including sit-down forklifts, overhead cranes, and skid loaders.
- Experience working in dirty or weather-exposed environments.
- Previous forklift experience is highly valued.

Work EnvironmentWork a stable 1st shift from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, in a hands-on environment where protective gear is likely required. Be ready to adapt to a dynamic setting that may involve exposure to various weather conditions.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Porte, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
