General Production Worker
Job Description
This role offers the opportunity to work in a hands-on production environment in either a stacking or building position. General production workers support the early stages of the manufacturing process by stacking lumber coming off a conveyor belt and assembling custom boxes according to customer specifications. The position involves reading work orders, accurately measuring materials, and using hand and power tools to complete production tasks safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Stack lumber coming off a conveyor belt onto pallets at the start of the production process, ensuring materials are organized and handled safely.
- Build boxes of varying sizes according to customer orders, following detailed work orders and production instructions.
- Read and interpret work orders, including dimensions and specifications, to complete tasks accurately and on time.
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, assemble, and secure materials as needed for box construction and general production work.
- Measure materials using a tape measure to confirm correct dimensions and maintain quality standards.
- Assist with general labor tasks such as loading, packing, and packaging products to support overall production flow.
- Follow established production, assembly, and construction processes to meet daily output goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, keeping tools and materials in proper working order.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment while operating tools and performing physical tasks.
- Work collaboratively with team members in a small, family-like environment to ensure smooth operations across the production floor.
- At least 6 months of manufacturing or general production experience.
- At least 6 months of experience using a tape measure for accurate measurements.
- At least 6 months of experience working with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, including dimensions and production instructions.
- Ability to perform general labor tasks such as stacking, loading, packing, and assembly.
- Comfort working in a production, assembly, or construction environment.
- Basic understanding of packaging and packing processes.
- Ability to stand, move, and handle materials throughout the shift in a physical work setting.
- Experience in general production, assembly, or construction-related work.
- Familiarity with loading and packaging processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work with varying box sizes and adapt to different customer specifications.
- Strong attention to detail when measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
- Reliability and consistency in meeting daily production goals.
- Willingness to follow established procedures and safety practices.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a small, family-like setting with a wide open-concept production floor that supports teamwork and clear communication. You will work on a first-shift schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The role is hands-on and physical, involving general labor, production, assembly, loading, packing, and construction-related tasks using hand tools, power tools, and tape measures. Dress code consists of jeans, a t-shirt, and steel-toed boots, and personal protective equipment is supplied by the company to support a safe and compliant workplace.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
