Job Description
As a Warehouse Worker, you perform a mix of clerical and hands-on tasks that support receiving, warehousing, shipping, and small-package activity in a paint and coatings manufacturing environment. You accurately receive incoming goods both physically and in the system, maintain organized inventory and storage locations, and help ensure that outgoing orders are correct, properly labeled, and accompanied by the required documentation. You move materials between logistics and production using forklifts and other material-handling equipment, support internal manufacturing flow, and follow established safety, quality, and Lean / 5S procedures to keep the logistics area clean, efficient, and compliant.
Responsibilities- Perform both clerical and hands-on warehouse tasks related to receiving, warehousing, packaging, shipping, and small-package handling.
- Receive incoming goods accurately, checking physical product against documentation and entering receipts into SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Track inventory movements and storage locations in the system to maintain inventory integrity and prevent discrepancies.
- Pull, stage, and verify orders for shipment, confirming that items, quantities, labels, and paperwork are correct and complete.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, documentation, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Transfer materials to and from production using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to support internal material flow.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and condition and help resolve receiving and shipping issues, including wrong material, damaged goods, or paperwork errors.
- Use RF scanners and inventory tools to record movements, perform counts, and maintain accurate warehouse records.
- Work safely around paints, coatings, solvents, and other regulated materials, following PPE requirements, safety documents, and work instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized logistics area by following Lean / 5S principles and company housekeeping standards.
- Adhere to safety requirements and company procedures, including proper use of respirators, gloves, and other safety gear when required.
- Collaborate with external delivery and pickup partners to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and meet daily logistics goals.
- Support a process-driven, quality-first environment by following structured workflows and documentation requirements.
- Work with limited supervision, managing your time effectively and meeting targeted goals for shipping, receiving, and material handling.
- Perform repetitive but detail-oriented tasks with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
- Lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform other physical tasks necessary for warehouse operations.
- Participate in training and follow work instructions, safety documents, and shipping paperwork to ensure compliance and quality.
- Contribute to a team-based production floor, communicating with supervisors and coworkers to support smooth operations.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of experience in a logistics or warehouse environment preferred.
- 2+ years of forklift experience preferred, including sit-down, stand-up, or multiple types.
- Demonstrated experience in core warehouse and logistics functions such as shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Comfort working in a paint and coatings manufacturing environment with chemicals and regulated materials.
- Ability to work safely around hazardous materials and follow PPE requirements such as respirators, gloves, and safety gear.
- Ability to read and follow safety documents, work instructions, and shipping paperwork with close attention to detail.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail in verifying product, checking labels, confirming documentation, and maintaining inventory integrity.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods during the shift.
- Strong reliability, consistent attendance, and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Organizational skills and self-management to maintain cleanliness, order integrity, and meet targeted goals.
- Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems to receive goods, track inventory movements, and manage locations and documentation is a plus.
- Prior hazardous materials handling experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience using RF scanners for inventory tracking and material movements.
- Familiarity with Lean and 5S principles in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Experience in a chemical, paint, or coatings manufacturing environment is an advantage.
- Comfort performing repetitive but detail-oriented tasks in a process-driven environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based production setting with supervisor oversight.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a clean, climate-controlled chemical manufacturing facility with four openings on first shift, typically 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. or 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. You work with paints, coatings, solvents, and other regulated materials in a process-driven, quality-first environment that emphasizes safety and structured workflows. Personal protective equipment such as respirators, gloves, and safety gear is required when working with certain materials. The work combines hands-on production activities with repetitive but detail-oriented warehouse tasks, including material handling and documentation. You operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and inventory systems on a team-based production floor with supervisor oversight, in a setting designed to be clean, organized, and supportive of consistent, high-quality operations.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $49920.00/yr.
