This Production Associate role supports electronic manufacturing operations by performing routine production tasks such as testing, inspection, light assembly, machine operation, and packaging to help meet customer deadlines. You will learn and apply company policies, procedures, and production standards while working under close supervision in a light industrial environment with clear metrics and goals.

Responsibilities
  • Support production manufacturing activities to ensure customer deadlines and production goals are consistently met.
  • Perform testing, inspection, light assembly, machine operation, and packaging of electronic components and products.
  • Assemble electronic parts using either through-hole or surface mount techniques and basic hand tools, following detailed instructions and blueprints where applicable.
  • Follow established work instructions, company policies, procedures, and quality guidelines for all tasks.
  • Meet individual throughput and productivity targets while maintaining high quality standards and minimizing scrap or rework.
  • Use basic computer programs, including internal systems, basic Excel for documentation, and Outlook for communication.
  • Monitor your own work to ensure it meets quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements, and escalate issues to supervisors when needed.
  • Adapt to changes in work plans, priorities, and direction, and support improvement initiatives such as 5S and other productivity or efficiency efforts.
  • Look for opportunities to improve work processes, productivity, efficiency, and quality, and contribute ideas to reduce waste.
  • Work cooperatively in a team and cross-functional teams as needed, openly sharing information, knowledge, and experience with co-workers.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other departments when needed and taking on additional assignments as requested.
  • Maintain a level temperament and professionalism in a fast-paced or stressful environment.
  • Stay current on required certifications and training, and apply new work requirements with minimal supervision.
  • Use time effectively to manage workload and tasks, consistently completing assignments on time without compromising quality.
  • Follow all safety, cleanliness, and organizational standards in the manufacturing area, including participation in workplace organization initiatives.
  • Physically perform job duties, including sitting or standing for the duration of the shift, frequently reaching at waist level, and lifting up to approximately 10–15 pounds.

Essential Skills
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate internal programs, use basic Excel for documentation, and work with Outlook.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed instructions, procedures, and production standards.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools and light machinery.
  • Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality, including monitoring your own work and minimizing scrap or rework.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in work plans, priorities, and management direction.
  • Capability to work cooperatively in a team environment and cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with supervisors and co-workers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.
  • One (1) or more years of related production, manufacturing, or electronic assembly experience is preferred, but entry-level candidates are welcome.
  • Experience in electronic manufacturing, including through-hole or surface mount soldering, is a strong plus.
  • Background in retail, fast food/food service, or other manufacturing fields can be beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints is advantageous.
  • Experience using hand tools and working in a light industrial or general assembly environment is helpful.
  • Comfort working with metrics and production targets, such as piece counts or throughput goals.
  • Experience participating in continuous improvement initiatives, such as 5S, is a plus.
  • Up-to-date certifications and training relevant to production or electronic assembly are beneficial.
  • Ability to learn and be comfortable completing different tasks on a frequent basis.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level. The facility employs approximately 450 permanent employees and operates as a light industrial/general assembly setting where components are typically small and lightweight, with lifting generally limited to about 10–15 pounds. Work involves tasks similar to manually inserting one hose into another, with defined metrics for how many pieces need to be assembled. You will work on C shift, which runs every other Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in 12-hour shifts. You will have the option to sit or stand during the shift, but standing is required for portions of the work and should be expected regularly. The environment emphasizes adherence to safety, quality, and cleanliness standards, with organized workstations and structured processes supported by basic computer systems and production tools.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nampa, ID.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
