Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description

Lead electrical and instrumentation projects from design to full project execution. Operate computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment, such as AutoCAD, to perform a wide range of engineering tasks. Collaborate with other engineers and plant personnel for troubleshooting repairs and planning future projects.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure operating and installation standards are met for electrical and instrumentation systems by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
  • Perform necessary detailed calculations in preparing standards, designs, and plans.
  • Ensure compliance with standards, specifications, and codes by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure equipment and systems are in a safe and proper operable condition.
  • Prepare reports and compile data on existing and potential electrical engineering projects.
  • Develop specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
  • Estimate material, labor, or construction costs for capital projects and budget preparation.
  • Diagnose and solve electrical problems.
  • Work closely with others to install, service, calibrate, and update electrical systems.
  • Develop and test electrical system prototypes or simulated events and make equipment or controls modifications when needed.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in electrical engineering and electrical design.
  • Experience with schematic design and AutoCAD.
  • 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering in an industrial environment.
  • Designing medium & low voltage systems (12470V to 24V).
  • Knowledge of NEC & NFPA 70E.
  • Designing of PLC cabinets, MCC, & Switchboards.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology degree from an accredited school.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a manufacturing setting that is currently being updated. While primarily indoors, some tasks may require working outside. Candidates should be adaptable and comfortable working in both environments.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
