Quality Engineer

Join our aerospace manufacturing team as a Quality Engineer responsible for driving product quality, investigating customer returns, leading corrective actions, and supporting inspection and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate customer-returned products and identify root causes.
  • Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives.
  • Review and process customer RMAs.
  • Supervise a team of 6 final inspectors.
  • Oversee final inspection activities to ensure compliance with customer and quality requirements.
  • Represent Quality on the Material Review Board (MRB).
  • Support AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI).
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement and reduce manufacturing defects.
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Production to resolve quality issues.
Qualifications
  • Experience as a Quality Engineer in aerospace or a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with CAPA, MRB, and nonconformance investigations.
  • Knowledge of AS9102 and First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in quality or inspection operations.
  • Audit experience and understanding of quality systems.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred
  • Aerospace connector or electronic/mechanical component experience.
  • Experience coaching and developing quality teams.
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and best practices.

Work Environment: Aerospace manufacturing facility with a mix of production floor and office-based work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glendale, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
