Quality Technician
Job Description
We're hiring a Quality Technician to support food safety and product quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is a great opportunity for:
'05; Candidates with experience in Quality, QA/QC, GMP-regulated manufacturing, food production, or laboratory environments
'05; Recent graduates with a degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, or another science field who have basic lab experience and want to build a career in Quality
**No degree is required for candidates with relevant industry experience!
What You'll Do- Collect samples from production lines and perform quality inspections
- Conduct basic laboratory testing on food products and ingredients
- Monitor GMPs, sanitation practices, and food safety standards
- Document test results and complete quality records
- Calibrate and verify basic quality equipment
- Identify quality issues and communicate findings to production teams
- Support audits, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Help ensure products meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements
Option 1: Experience-Based
- Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, food manufacturing, laboratory work, or a GMP/FDA-regulated environment
- Knowledge of GMPs, quality systems, inspections, or documentation practices
OR
Option 2: Entry-Level Science Graduate
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, or a related scientific field
- Basic laboratory experience through coursework, internships, research, or previous employment
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility during the shift
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Initial training on 1st shift (approximately 4 weeks)
- Permanent schedule on 3rd shift
- Rotating 2-on / 2-off schedule
- Every other weekend required

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
