Stamp Press Assistant

Location: Walker, MI
Pay: $18.00/hr + $0.50/hr 2nd shift premium
Shift: 3:00 PM – 1:10 AM, Monday–Thursday
(Orientation: First day starts at 2:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Support press operators during breaks and lunches.
  • Operate press equipment during inspections (with supervision).
  • Load coils and ensure proper material selection.
  • Assemble packing materials and assist with material handling.
  • Help with machine changeovers and disposal of scrap materials.
  • Create labels for work-in-progress and inventory.
  • Assist with two-person press operations as needed.
  • Complete basic tasks on various machines.
  • Band and pack finished products for shipment.
  • Safely operate forklifts to transport materials.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid forklift operator certification.
  • Ability to read/write reports, safety docs, and work instructions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting (noise, PPE, machinery).
