Job Description
This job operates CNC routing machinery to manufacture precision wood components for cabinets and millwork. The role involves setting up and running CNC equipment, reading production drawings, ensuring quality standards are met, performing basic machine maintenance, and supporting efficient production in a woodworking manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC routers to manufacture cabinet parts according to specifications.
- Load materials such as plywood, MDF, hardwood, and laminate sheets onto machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and cut lists.
- Set up tooling, machine parameters, and material alignment.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy, dimensions, and quality standards.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Label, organize, and prepare completed components for assembly.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
Essential Skills
- Experience operating CNC woodworking equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurements accurately.
- Knowledge of woodworking materials, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with CNC software and machine controls.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift and handle sheet goods and finished parts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in finish carpentry, woodworking, or millwork is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with framing and building components for cabinetry or similar wood structures.
- Comfort working with finishing materials such as stains, paints, and sealants.
- Ability to learn and operate finishing equipment, including spray guns and conveyor systems.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with leads and team members.
- Willingness to perform touch-up repairs and contribute to continuous improvement of quality.

Work Environment
The role takes place in a woodworking production environment focused on custom cabinetry. The facility is generally clean and organized, though there can be significant sawdust at times due to cutting, sanding, and finishing activities. You work on your feet for extended periods and handle materials and components throughout the day. Expect regular use of woodworking tools, finishing equipment, and conveyor systems in a shop setting where safety practices and appropriate work attire are important.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Lonsdale, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.
