Job Description
The Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs production machinery and facility equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. This role performs routine and preventative maintenance, conducts detailed failure analysis, and uses electrical and electronic test equipment to diagnose issues and support continuous production.
Responsibilities
- Visually inspect machinery and equipment to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.
- Test machinery and equipment using electrical and electronic test equipment to diagnose issues and verify proper operation.
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment according to an established schedule.
- Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections of machinery and equipment as scheduled.
- Install, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment to maintain production levels throughout the facility.
- Conduct detailed failure analysis to determine root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
- Identify defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts in accordance with specifications and blueprints.
- Use precision measuring instruments and hand tools to perform accurate repairs and adjustments.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation to guide installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to document work, track maintenance activities, and manage work orders.
- Perform basic repairs on conveyor systems, including blast and paint booth systems.
- Follow strict safety procedures at all times and consistently wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Essential Skills
- Hands-on experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, including the ability to install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment.
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Proficiency in preventative and routine maintenance practices for industrial equipment.
- Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting on machinery and facility systems.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems in an industrial setting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Knowledge of basic conveyor system repair, including blast and paint booth systems.
- Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting in an industrial environment.
- Strict commitment to following safety procedures and using required PPE.

- Broad knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Comfort working in a growing industrial facility with modern equipment.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
- Good communication skills to document work clearly in CMMS and collaborate with team members.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mukwonago, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
