JOB DESCRIPTION:
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Facility Operations Analyst for a contract opportunity in Lexington, KY.
DURATION: 4 months
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
- Must have an active secret clearance
- Power Generation Systems: Perform advanced diagnostics, service, repair, and preventive maintenance on diesel and gas generators up to 1Meg to ensure continuous and reliable power supply for personnel and sensitive equipment.
- Electrical Distribution: Deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair low-to-medium voltage electrical distribution systems, including switchgear, load banks, cabling, and distribution panels.
- Bare Base Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on a wide variety of bare base equipment. This includes deployable systems, temporary plumbing infrastructure, mobile light towers, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.
- Load Management: Monitor power loads, perform load balancing, and ensure all electrical setups comply with safety standards and operational requirements.
- HVAC Systems: Perform diagnostics, service, repair, and preventive maintenance on portable and environmental control units (ECUs/HVAC) to ensure optimal climate control for personnel and sensitive equipment.
- Plumbing & Structures: Manage the rapid setup, upkeep, and repair of expeditionary plumbing systems (water/wastewater) and temporary structures (e.g., tents, hard-sided shelters).
- Operational Readiness: Ensure all assigned equipment is mission-capable, properly inventoried, and ready for rapid deployment at all times.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory using designated maintenance management systems.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience in maintaining, overhauling, and repairing commercial/industrial generators (e.g., Cummins, Caterpillar, MEP series) and electrical distribution systems.
- Mission Readiness: Familiarity with bare base, expeditionary equipment, deployable systems, and rapid-deployment power grid structures is highly desirable.
- Autonomy: Demonstrated ability to be as a self-starter, working independently with minimal supervision in high-pressure environments.
- Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to read electrical schematics, improvise, and solve complex electro-mechanical issues.
- Adaptability & Learning: Willingness and aptitude to learn maintenance and repair of new and specialized equipment—including basic plumbing and general facility systems.
